CHECK THIS OUT!!!

I was checking out the freebies at http://lagattac.blogspot.com/ when I found the most perfect SAL pattern! I have got to do this! Here is the link if anyone else is interested http://leblogdecathy.canalblog.com/ Thank you Cathy for the cute design! I can't wait to get started on it!

This week has been super busy for me! I had an interview this week at an OBGYN office and got the job on the spot. I start the 13th of July and am super excited! My parents are here visiting so there has been a whirlwind of shopping! No stitching updates as I haven't had time. I'm hoping to be able to sit down tonight and get started on this or Be True from LHN. I loved Amy's conversion with the blue instead of green dress. Nicole, has given me 40 ct. linen to try.

Happy Fathers Day!

A Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there! I am thankful for my Dad and that I still have him around! My sympathies and love go to all who have lost their Dad and I pray today you can remember the good times and reflect on your special relationship with him!

I have stitched a bit this week. Of course never as much as I want to! I have been inspired by the green and beautiful weather so I pulled out my Stoney Creek Garden Splendor to work on. The colors are so vibrant! I can tell you though this is the last Stoney Creek I will do. The color changes are horrid. I have told myself I need to expand my horizons a bit and stitch something other than birds or samplers...I just don't know if there are patterns out there like that though..lol

I am really excited about my parents coming to visit on Wed. They are going to stay until the Tues. after When they come we always go craft shopping and book shopping. Two of my favorite things! At night my Mom and I usually craft as well. My Mom and I are great in the kitchen together. She likes me to cook and then she does the clean up. What could be better than that? I love cooking special things for them when they come to visit.

A Finish Finally!

I finally got done with my Quaker Sampling! I have been working on it since probably March. It shouldn't have taken me this long. I do have a bit of stitching ADD. Now do I want to keep working on Bluebird's Message or start a small project on that 40ct fabric I was given?! The possibilities are endless. Don't you love stitching!!!

New Q-Snap Huggie Use?

I had a super fun morning/afternoon. I met up with Nicole for lunch at Margaritas and ate some yummy Mexican food with her and her 3 boys. They are such cute well behaved boys! Next we went over to our LNS and got a few. things. Between Nicole loading me up and buying a few things at the shop I feel like I had an awesome stash day! Thanks Nicole!

When I got home I found my oldest son TJ, asking me what this was for? He had my q-snap huggie around his head like a sweat band. I laughed so hard. What a funny kid! I hope he didn't actually sweat on it!

Getting ready for family to come. I am hoping I will get some stitching time tonight to work on my Quaker piece! I bought Mall Cop and plan on watching that with my nephew and children.

MY WIP's

These are the WIP's I am working on. Saturday while stitching with friends I started Blackbird Designs Bluebird's Message. I am doing it on 28ct. cream evenweave with the overdyed threads that it is called for. I have been working on this With My Needle Quaker Sampling II for several months. I'm using 32 ct. evenweave fabric w/Crescent Colour Milady's Teal. Last night I worked on it a little and finished the alphabet. Now I'm working on the bottom right. Hoping to get this finished soon!!
